Job Description
Acquisition Manager owning paid media strategy and ecommerce conversion for Arc’s precision-engineered aluminium and titanium device cases. Directing agencies, CRO, measurement and website trading.
Responsibilities:
- Own the strategy for paid media investment and ecommerce website trading through the first purchase
- Set the annual and quarterly media plan across paid social, paid search and emerging channels
- Allocate investment across markets and phase it across seasonal launch windows
- Trade the website commercially, including merchandising, product presentation, onsite search, navigation, basket and checkout performance
- Manage homepage, landing page and collection merchandising, product page effectiveness, promotional execution, delivery and service proposition visibility
- Own launch readiness and execution on site in every market
- Establish the weekly trading rhythm, review performance and feed insights back into media
- Build the CRO and experimentation roadmap, define hypotheses and prioritisation, and interpret test results
- Prioritise the development backlog with the web partner and act as the commercial voice
- Direct performance agencies by setting briefs, targets, reporting rhythms and account strategy
- Shape campaign architecture, audience strategy and creative deployment
- Maintain tracking discipline and clean, comparable data
- Build acquisition reporting, consistent metric definitions and an incrementality testing programme
- Reconcile platform-reported performance with banked orders and maintain acquisition cost ceilings by market
- Evaluate new channels, design tests and make recommendations
- Work with agency and development partners, with the role reporting to the Head of Revenue
Requirements:
- Has owned a paid social and paid search budget at meaningful scale in a direct to consumer or ecommerce business, and been answerable for its performance
- Has traded an ecommerce site commercially: merchandising, conversion and launch execution, rather than simply briefing a developer and waiting
- Can build and defend an acquisition cost and contribution model
- Can identify when platform reporting has drifted from commercial reality
- Understands incrementality well enough to design and interpret a test
- Has directed a performance agency, including setting targets, shaping structure and holding partners to account constructively
- Self starter comfortable building process in a small, fast moving team
- Premium or considered purchase category experience, where price is not the lever (useful, but not essential)
- Strong conversion optimisation or experimentation background (useful, but not essential)
- Hands-on experience with Shopify or a comparable platform (useful, but not essential)
- Launch-driven or highly seasonal demand experience (useful, but not essential)
- Marketplace advertising experience (useful, but not essential)
- Hands-on experience with an incrementality or media mix tool (useful, but not essential)
- UK or European time zone
Benefits:
- Quarterly in person meet up
- Clear route to Head of as the channel and team grow
- Additional headcount planned as the channel matures
