Job Description
Analytics Engineer building scalable data models and AI-enabled workflows for Ontic’s enterprise security software platform. Partnering across teams to power metrics, operational decisions, and enterprise analytics infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain scalable dbt data models in Snowflake as trusted sources of truth
- Architect data pipelines and transformation workflows using Fivetran and modern ELT practices
- Develop durable, extensible data assets that evolve with company growth
- Establish modeling standards, documentation practices, and governance frameworks
- Partner with RevOps and Finance to define and operationalize SaaS metrics such as ARR, retention, expansion, and pipeline
- Build data foundations for internal AI applications and LLM-enabled workflows
- Prototype and productionize AI-driven operational use cases
- Integrate analytics and AI into workflows using Notion, Cursor, Glean, and emerging platforms
- Embed data directly into operational processes
- Partner with Sales, CS, Marketing, Finance, Product, and Engineering leaders to translate business needs into scalable technical systems
- Create reusable data assets enabling activation via Hightouch and analysis via Omni
- Ensure architecture is scalable, secure, and adaptable to evolving enterprise requirements
Requirements:
- Experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or similar hands-on roles
- Strong SQL skills
- Deep understanding of modern data modeling, including dimensional modeling, transformations, and data contracts
- Experience building in cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, evolving AI tooling landscape
- Systems-level thinking focused on scalability, extensibility, and flexibility
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across business and technical teams
- Experience with Fivetran, dbt, Snowflake, Hightouch, Omni, Notion, Cursor, or Glean is helpful but not required
- Ability to understand and adhere to Ontic Security and Privacy policies
- Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States
