Job Description
Applications Analyst maintaining, securing, and troubleshooting banking applications for First Merchants Bank. Supporting upgrades, disaster recovery, vendors, backups, and operational improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure assigned applications work reliably and remain current at vendor-required release levels
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and support systems daily
- Provide application support services, including maintenance, troubleshooting, support, and release-level management
- Administer and monitor application-level security, including user administration and password resets
- Maintain disaster recovery plans and models
- Ensure application changes follow standard processes and minimize exceptions
- Monitor system efficiency, document issues, and recommend improvements
- Manage the operational vendor relationship
- Ensure system backups and restores occur as planned and remain reliable
- Coordinate application user groups with clients as necessary
- Provide backup assistance for other department staff
- Assist in project planning and execution
- Design and implement strategies and best practices with management
- Coordinate upgrades and independently plan with other departments and change management
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
- A minimum of one (1) year of information technology or banking experience
- Associate or bachelor’s degree would be a plus
- Foxtrot experience would be a plus
- Exposure to and understanding of bank structure/operations (general flow of business) would be a plus
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Visio would be a plus
