Job Description

Area Business Manager driving allergy and ENT biologic sales across Shreveport and Jackson for Sanofi, a global biopharma company. Engaging specialists, launching products, and growing territory revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage Allergy, Immunology, and ENT customers within the assigned geographical territory
  • Deliver clinically focused messages to introduce, launch, and grow brand share and revenue
  • Collaborate with field-based stakeholders, including sales counterparts, Medical Science Liaisons, Field Access Specialists, Market Access teammates, and Thought Leader Liaisons
  • Address customer needs, identify market dynamics and trends, and develop strategies supporting brand and corporate objectives
  • Develop working relationships with immunology experts, Allergy/ENT specialists, biologic coordinators, office staff, healthcare personnel, and patient advocacy groups
  • Identify key opportunities and develop strategic business plans to generate product utilization and grow territory business
  • Plan, organize, and execute local promotional speaker programs and activities
  • Maximize the geographic territory budget to support strategies and generate or grow business
  • Participate in industry congresses, local and regional meetings, and medical conferences
  • Coordinate and call upon large group practices and other key targets to drive product results
  • Establish relationships with thought leaders and drive industry-leading customer value
  • Deliver results in a compliant manner while following Sanofi Genzyme US policies and pharmaceutical promotion regulations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
  • 3+ years of sales experience
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and scientific product-related information
  • Ability to travel to meetings, trainings, and programs as necessary; additional travel may be required within the assigned territory
  • Proven success and positive track record of consistent sales performance in competitive and complex markets with diverse customer segments
  • Ability to operate as a team player in cooperation with collaboration partners and internal colleagues
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • 3+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales experience preferred
  • 2 years selling sub-cutaneous self-injectable or office-administered IV biologics preferred
  • 2 years selling experience calling on Allergists and/or ENTs strongly preferred
  • 2 years selling experience in asthma or other immunology disorders is a plus
  • Co-promotion experience preferred
  • Advanced clinically-based selling skills
  • Proven track record of success with product launches
  • Experience with in-servicing and training office staff, nurses, and office managers
  • Passion and learning aptitude for science
  • Highly organized with strong account management skills
