Job Description
Area Sales Manager expanding GLS’s affordable auto financing through dealer partnerships. Growing territory market share, dealer adoption, and lending-program utilization.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a company ambassador to automotive dealers within the assigned market area
- Expand company market share by signing new dealers
- Develop existing dealer relationships
- Increase awareness and adoption of the company’s lending programs
- Educate dealers on all aspects of the company lending programs and how to maximize their value
- Partner with operational teams to capture quality business from existing dealers and increase program utilization
- Build and expand the assigned territory by identifying and signing new dealerships
- Make regular dealer visits, conduct cold calls, and take inbound dealership calls
- Maintain high customer satisfaction and dealer retention
- Complete and submit documentation to track and assess established goals
- Foster collaboration with associates and management to achieve business plan objectives
- Participate in special projects as needed
- Perform additional assignments as required by company needs or management direction
Requirements:
- Three (3) years’ experience in auto finance with sub-prime auto financing experience
- Three (3) years’ experience in sales with auto industry experience
- Knowledge of the local market with established customer relationships
- Intrinsically motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative, identify needs, make recommendations for improvement, see recommendations through implementation, and evaluate improvements for effectiveness
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence others, manage conflict, exercise sound judgment, manage sensitive and confidential information, interact at all organizational levels, and build cross-functional partnerships
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of the internet and standard business applications such as Microsoft Office
- Ability to quickly learn new computer applications as required

- Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to set and manage multiple conflicting priorities
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to operate from a home office
- Ability to travel extensively, including by vehicle and air, 75% of the time, with overnight travel and extended hours
- Ability to talk and hear to exchange accurate information
- Close visual acuity for preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading
