Job Description
Assistant Project Manager in Concrete division executing project lifecycle stages. Engaging in safety compliance, planning, scheduling, and resource management with a focus on exceeding expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure project safety compliance.
- Understand job cost spread and project estimates.
- Participate in project sequencing and scheduling.
- Track project progress and analyze production.
- Engage in project cost reporting.
- Handle invoice coding and approval.
- Oversee material/equipment procurement.
- Manage change order requests and tracking.
- Coordinate with general contractors/owners.
- Assist with reporting requirements, including field time and productivity, materials, safety, and other relevant aspects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction science, construction management, engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university and 1 year of experience in construction, or 5 years of construction related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, MS Project, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Procore, Bluebeam, CMIC is a preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time and be based on a project site.
- Effective planning and resource management skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ability to monitor construction schedules and identify potential issues.
- Proactive in promoting and ensuring workplace safety.
