Job Description

Associate Tax Research Specialist at CSC Corptax utilizing business entity income tax compliance experience to develop tax software. Remote position conducting tax research and providing programmer guidance from home.

Responsibilities:

  • Research changes to tax forms
  • Interpret the tax code and regulation updates that drove those changes
  • Provide guidance to programmers on updates needed to calculations based on research findings
  • Test tax return calculations for accuracy, consistency, and usability
  • Design and execute test cases to confirm correct implementation of tax law changes
  • Contribute to release notes, technical explanations, and customer-facing guidance as needed
  • Develop working knowledge of assigned jurisdictions or tax topics and assist the team by applying that knowledge
  • Develop and update documentation to support the tax return calculations and other collateral
  • Provide support for the products created through both direct and indirect communication channels

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or related field
  • 0 to 3 years of industry or public accounting experience specializing in corporate or Pass-through income tax compliance or programming experience
  • Experience leveraging AI-driven tools for enhancing tax research, technical analysis, and workflow efficiency
  • Experience with reading and interpreting COBOL and/or C# is a plus
  • Experience with Visual Studio, Azure DevOps is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn new skills quickly
  • Ability to work extended schedule as required
