Job Description
AVP Business Development driving meeting volume and deal flow with real estate sponsors and developers. Collaborating with senior brokers to enhance outreach program in North America.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage your network to set up meetings for senior Howden RE brokers, with responsibility for business development efforts across North America
- Set 8–12+ high-value meetings per week for senior RWI brokers and other senior Howden personnel covering the RE vertical
- Develop, maintain, and report on a disciplined and organized regional outreach strategy across the North American RE sponsor, REIT, developer, and law firm landscape
- Organize and attend periodic regional roadshows across U.S. and Canadian financial centers, including pre-meeting preparation, coordination with internal deal teams, and post-meeting follow-up communications
- Represent Howden Private Capital at industry conferences
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Property & Casualty insurance license (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire)
- Willingness to travel up to 30–40% across North America for roadshows, client meetings, and industry events
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of RWI market dynamics in real estate, including banking, real estate private equity, brokerage, or a closely related transactional role
- Experience operating in a fast-paced, producer-driven BD model where meeting volume and pipeline discipline are tracked rigorously
