Job Description
Epic Beaker Systems Analyst configuring, testing, and supporting healthcare laboratory applications for Highmark Health. Resolving system issues, documenting workflows, and managing implementation projects remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Configure, roll out, and support Epic Beaker applications
- Plan, design/build, test, implement, and support Epic software
- Analyze and determine system requirements and specifications
- Perform and document workflow analysis while evaluating user experience
- Support and maintain application environments using domain knowledge
- Create and maintain implementation documentation and training materials
- Configure changes within Epic environments to provide standardized, comprehensive workflows
- Correct issues, conduct routine maintenance, update systems with new functionality, and implement new technologies
- Guide and support end-users and resolve end-user system issues
- Contribute to and independently manage small to medium projects
- Provide stakeholders with timely updates on tasks, projects, and issues
- Conduct problem-solving and root cause analysis for routine to moderately complex problems
- Identify solutions and complete documentation
Requirements:
- 3 years of systems administration experience within one or more Epic modules
- Associate's degree required, or 2 years of relevant work experience in lieu of an Associate's Degree
- Epic Application Certification within 6 months
- Ability to handle analysis, design, system configuration and testing tasks at basic to moderate levels of complexity
- Excellent customer service skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills in managing priorities
- Knowledge of project management principles
- 3 years of healthcare industry experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare or relevant experience preferred
- Beaker certification preferred
- Ability to comply with HIPAA, data security guidelines, company policies, applicable laws, and training requirements
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds constantly, 10 to 25 pounds occasionally, and 25 to 50 pounds rarely
