Job Description

T-SQL developer converting client data into TELUS Health’s Central Data Repository. Testing transformations, supporting implementations, and resolving data issues for enterprise health clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Program data transformations to integrate clients' initial data into the Central Data Repository (CDR)
  • Verify data transformations with unit tests
  • Adjust T-SQL programming based on feedback from QA, Data Conversion leads, testing teams, integrated testing, and clients
  • Meet project deadlines and communicate risks of delay to the Data Lead or Project Manager
  • Participate in creating and executing corrective scripts on internal and client environments
  • Assist and support clients and implementation resources with data issues
  • Provide technical support for internal resources through T-SQL extracts
  • Review control reports from the loading process and related action items with the Quality Assurance team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience
  • Fluency in English and French (written and oral)
  • Strong experience with T-SQL, Microsoft SQL Server and Visual Studio
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, PowerShell, and Excel is an asset
  • Capable of communicating with technical and non-technical people
  • Intermediate knowledge of English required for regular interaction with English-speaking parties and use of English IT tools
  • Subject to Government of Canada Personnel Security Screening if job functions require data center work or access to detailed client-service technology knowledge
