Job Description
Associate Director overseeing mechanical BIM operations in innovative engineering firm. Collaborating with leadership to advance digital design and coordination capabilities across projects.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior and executive leadership to define BIM strategies supporting organizational growth and innovation.
- Develop and enforce mechanical BIM standards, templates, and model management protocols across all project types.
- Drive adoption of advanced modeling tools and integrated design technologies (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, Dynamo, CDE platforms).
- Oversee daily BIM operations within the Electrical discipline, ensuring quality, accuracy, and coordination.
- Serve as a high-level technical liaison during client coordination, design-assist, and construction phases.
- Evaluate emerging design and construction technologies and lead pilot initiatives for mechanical BIM advancement.
- Identify opportunities and lead the strategic use of technology, digital platforms, and AI-enabled tools to enhance efficiency through workflow automation, reduced manual effort, and improved accuracy in forecasting, documentation, reporting, and quality processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, architectural engineering, or related field
- Minimum of thirteen (13) years of experience in electrical design and BIM management
- Demonstrated leadership in BIM implementation across multiple projects and teams
- Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent registration preferred
- Autodesk Revit Professional Certification or equivalent experience required
