Job Description

Communications Manager executing communications programs at G.E.H.A. Responsible for public relations, digital communications, and strategic counsel to executives.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the execution of external and internal communications programs and projects including public relations, digital communications, HR and business unit communications counsel, and promotion of G.E.H.A’s community investment strategy
  • Establish processes, standards for execution, and set the bar for quality content that represents G.E.H.A well to both internal and external audiences
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the Communications team as well as team members from other support functions like Marketing and HR
  • Provide counsel to C-suite executives on a regular basis
  • Provide strategic counsel to executives and business partners
  • Manage communication channels (web, intranet, social media)
  • Participate in relevant communications/media events and conferences as assigned
  • Assist with implementation of crisis communications and issues management plans as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or related field required
  • 8+ years' experience in corporate communication department, PR firm environment, or related field required
  • Preferred experience in healthcare communications environment
  • Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required
  • Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms
  • Hotspots, satellite and wireless internet service is NOT allowed for this role
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
