Job Description
Building Infrastructure Project Manager delivering federal building-envelope projects. Managing budgets, schedules, construction compliance, and site activities for government facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage medium to large, full-lifecycle turnkey projects
- Report financials, control budgets, streamline operational functions, resolve project issues, and meet stringent deadlines
- Develop proposals and manage resources, project budgets, forecasting, schedules, and project closure
- Develop and manage detailed traditional project schedules and work plans
- Estimate proposal budgets based on scope of work and resource requirements
- Present project strategy, adjustments, and estimates to complete to stakeholders
- Create and maintain strong federal customer relationships
- Observe and inspect construction activities for compliance with project requirements and quality and safety standards
- Direct or indirectly supervise project engineers, assistant project managers, superintendents, safety and quality-control personnel, foremen, field crews, subcontractors, and specialty vendors
- Conduct site visits for inspections, installation and start-up activities, client meetings, and project progress and compliance assessments
Requirements:
- Seven to ten years of project management experience overseeing the full lifecycle of medium to large complex multi-year projects within the Federal building-envelope space
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management from an ABET-accredited program
- Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Management experience
- Advanced proficiency in MS Project and/or Primavera P6
- Experience and understanding of commercial/industrial infrastructure design, engineering, manufacturing, and construction processes
- Knowledge and experience managing Electrical, Mechanical, and building-envelope construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction safety and fall-protection requirements
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass background investigations, drug screening, and site-access requirements
- Ability to travel and work at federal, military, correctional, industrial, and other controlled-access facilities
- Ability to communicate professionally with government officials, commercial customers, subcontractors, field personnel, and executive management
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in geographically dispersed locations
- Access to federal worksites and eligibility to pass associated background checks
- Desired: PMP, CCM, or CPC certification
- Desired: Knowledge and direct experience with roofing installation practices and industry standards
- Desired: Experience managing building-envelope repairs, restorations, and roof replacements
- Desired: Civil infrastructure experience with underground utilities and structural foundations
- Desired: Electrical and HVAC building infrastructure experience
- Desired: OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification
- Desired: Experience with bonding, security clearances, Buy American compliance, or domestic material sourcing
- Desired: Experience using estimation software and tools
- Desired: Convenient access to a major airport
- Ability to visit active construction sites and access rooftop work areas
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs and navigate uneven or elevated surfaces
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and inspect work for extended periods
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and fall-protection equipment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds when necessary
- Ability to travel by automobile and commercial aircraft
