Job Description
Business Analyst improving risk technology and banking processes for Salmon, a fintech company. Driving requirements, integrations, automation, fraud prevention, and debt-collection solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Risk stream in delivering scalable, high-quality solutions
- Conduct business and systems analysis focused on IT integration in banking
- Implement, analyse, optimise, and automate banking IT systems and processes
- Propose transformative solutions and innovative operational improvements
- Use data analytics and customer feedback to guide decisions
- Collaborate with Risk and Operations teams on debt collection and fraud prevention processes
- Explore vendor and product integrations
- Collaborate with Product Owners, development, design, and other internal stakeholders
- Support rigorous A/B testing and effective troubleshooting
- Create BRDs, FSDs, specifications, User Stories, Test Cases, and Use Cases
- Apply systems thinking, participate in testing, and collaborate with development teams
- Take ownership of discovery, requirements documentation, and delivery support during the first three months
- Lead integrations and automation initiatives within 6–9 months
Requirements:
- At least 1+ years of experience in business/systems analysis, IT integration, or a FinTech environment
- Ability to navigate and improve FinTech processes and IT systems
- Expertise in specifications, databases, software tools, problem-solving, and testing methodologies
- Exceptional decision-making skills balancing development costs with business objectives
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience using APIs, system logs such as Splunk, SQL, and DBMS principles
- Previous startup experience in organizations of 100–300 people is a plus
- Proven track record developing successful financial products is a plus
- English proficiency required
