Job Description
Business Development Director driving Consumer-sector Contract Logistics growth for global transport provider DSV. Leading strategic customers, tenders, omnichannel propositions, and international business development.
Responsibilities:
- Provide global direction for DSV’s commercial development within the Consumer vertical
- Define the growth strategy for Contract Logistics
- Strengthen DSV’s position with strategic customers and develop new growth opportunities across Fashion and omnichannel
- Identify commercial growth opportunities globally and translate them into concrete strategies, propositions and customer solutions
- Build and maintain strategic executive-level relationships
- Develop new business and strengthen existing partnerships
- Lead complex international commercial processes from tenders and RFQs through contracting and implementation
- Connect sales, solution design and operations at regional and global levels
- Translate the global Consumer strategy into commercial priorities
- Strengthen the sales pipeline and identify new propositions and growth opportunities
- Provide direction to the Consumer Business Development team
- Work with CCOs, Consumer Leads, Global Account Directors and senior stakeholders to achieve sustainable commercial growth and a strong market position
- Lead a specialised Business Development team and create conditions for sustainable commercial growth
Requirements:
- a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline
- a minimum of 10 years’ experience within the Consumer sector and/or the logistics industry, combined with a proven track record in business development and commercial growth
- at least 5 years’ experience in a customer-facing leadership role, with responsibility for strategic accounts and the successful development of long-term senior stakeholder relationships
- proven success in leading large-scale business development, tender and transformation projects, with demonstrated results in winning new business and expanding existing customer portfolios
- excellent communication and intercultural skills
- a strong affinity with Fashion and omnichannel logistics
- in-depth knowledge of warehousing and supply chain trends
- flexibility to travel internationally within a dynamic global organisation
