Job Description

Business Development Executive growing Infobase revenue through higher-education technology sales. Building customer relationships, generating leads, demonstrating products, and negotiating subscriptions.

Responsibilities:

  • Increase Infobase revenue in an assigned geographic territory.
  • Engage prospective customers to demonstrate Infobase product benefits and secure new subscription and cross-sale commitments.
  • Build professional relationships with key stakeholders to understand needs, develop solutions, and secure sales commitments.
  • Develop client relationships through all stages of the sales process, including initiation, contract negotiation, and closing.
  • Identify potential customers through market research and strategic planning.
  • Create and execute strategies to acquire new business and cross-sell services to existing clients.
  • Develop lead generation and conversion strategies.
  • Contact new and existing customers through phone calls, email campaigns, Zoom meetings, social media, conferences, and events.
  • Address customer requirements and concerns.
  • Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge and value.
  • Develop solutions that solve customer problems.
  • Negotiate prices and contractual terms.
  • Ensure agreements align with customer needs and organizational goals.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive customer contact lists.
  • Update CRM contact information regularly.
  • Foster collaboration with internal and external partners and teams across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • 5 Years of relevant experience in Sales, Account Management or related role, preferably in the education technology industry.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience with electronic resources through library.
  • In-depth knowledge of products and industry trends.
  • Proven ability to generate leads, convert prospects, and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging customers and conveying product value.
  • Proficient use of CRM tools to maintain accurate contact lists and manage customer interactions and forecast business.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Dedication to understanding customer needs and solving problems with appropriate products or services.
  • Track record of achieving sales targets and goals, with the ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
