Job Description

Business Development Executive growing Seiki's manufacturing software and SaaS customer base across the UK. Expanding accounts, developing new business, and driving consultative sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities while nurturing and expanding existing customer relationships
  • Engage with manufacturing businesses across the UK and internationally to improve operational performance through Seiki's software solutions
  • Work closely with Marketing, Customer Success, Professional Services, and Product teams
  • Develop existing customer accounts for additional modules, services, and SaaS subscriptions
  • Maximise customer value and retention with Customer Success and Professional Services teams
  • Support strategic account planning for long-term customer growth
  • Generate and qualify new sales opportunities through prospecting, networking, marketing campaigns, referrals, and market research
  • Build and maintain a sales pipeline to achieve and exceed revenue targets
  • Conduct discovery meetings to understand customer objectives, challenges, and requirements
  • Present Seiki solutions through online demonstrations, webinars, and face-to-face meetings
  • Develop business cases and ROI propositions for prospective customers
  • Manage sales processes from initial engagement through contract signature
  • Use consultative selling focused on customer business outcomes
  • Build relationships with senior management, operational leaders, and key stakeholders
  • Lead negotiations and manage complex decision-making processes
  • Maintain understanding of manufacturing industry challenges, trends, best practices, competitors, and market positioning
  • Represent Seiki Systems at exhibitions, industry events, conferences, and customer meetings
  • Provide market feedback to Product and Leadership teams
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and customer records in CRM
  • Achieve agreed sales activity levels and performance KPIs
  • Produce sales forecasts and pipeline reports
  • Improve sales skills, product knowledge, and industry expertise
  • Use AI-enabled sales tools and modern sales methodologies
  • Contribute to Seiki's growth, SaaS transition, and Manufacturing Intelligence vision

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 to 10 years' experience in manufacturing technology sales
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong consultative selling and solution-selling experience
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Experience managing opportunities through a CRM platform
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
  • Experience selling ERP, MES, Scheduling, Manufacturing Intelligence, Production Planning, Shop Floor Data Collection, Business Intelligence, or similar software solutions
  • Experience working with manufacturing organisations, particularly precision engineering, machining, fabrication, or industrial sectors
  • Familiarity with SaaS business models and subscription-based revenue environments
  • Degree or relevant professional qualification is desirable
  • A genuine passion for helping customers improve their businesses
