Job Description
Business Development Manager growing Bureau Veritas’ asset management services sales nationwide. Developing client relationships, closing opportunities, and guiding strategic sales plans.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct daily sales operations for the Asset Management Division
- Meet with major clients and prepare comprehensive sales reports
- Develop and implement sales strategies, plans, and forecasts for targeted clients and assigned territories
- Analyze current accounts to identify add-on services and cross-sell services from other business lines
- Target markets including K-12 schools, Higher Education, Affordable Housing, Federal Government, and State and Local Government
- Identify, qualify, and research prospective clients and arrange client meetings
- Follow up on and close leads in conjunction with the Executive Vice President of Sales
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key client stakeholders and organizations managing asset portfolios
- Conduct sales calls to understand client strategies and organizational structures and position Bureau Veritas capabilities
- Customize Bureau Veritas services to client business needs
- Respond to Requests for Information, Quotations, and Proposals while meeting deadlines
- Act as the client representative within Bureau Veritas to investigate problems, develop solutions, and ensure project delivery
- Supervise, train, plan, assign, and direct sales team work as required
- Represent Bureau Veritas at local and national industry conferences and events
- Use Salesforce and communicate weekly/monthly activity and progress to management
- Devise innovative marketing approaches and compile transaction information for proposals and statements of qualification
- Monitor competitors, pricing, products, and market trends
- Protect confidential company information and deliver timely, proactive customer service
- Follow company policies, procedures, work instructions, quality standards, and strategic initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university in related field, or 5–8 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience selling services within the Asset Advisory realm
- Ability to navigate complex, relationship-driven sales cycles
- Valid driver's license required with no significant motor vehicle record points/violations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and standard operating procedures
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, peers, and technical field staff
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret extensive instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables
- Proficiency with computers, word processing software, spreadsheet software, and project management software
- Ability to motivate, develop, and direct people
- Time management, active listening, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safely
- Ability to work successfully from a remote location
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
