Job Description
Business Development Manager developing dealer and vendor relationships for DLL, a global asset finance company. Selling agricultural financing programs and supporting end-user equipment purchases across Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with dealer partners and the local team
- Work with dealers on retail subsidized programs to help sell more product
- Train dealers on various programs and the importance of selling to end users
- Attend and/or present at tradeshows, dealer and/or vendor meetings
- Source and build new relationships within the territory
- Provide ongoing support to various areas within DLL to help maintain the customer experience
- Provide various reporting to partners as required
- Solicit, market, and develop all aspects of new business relationships
Requirements:
- College Diploma or University Degree in Business or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5–7 years sales or related leasing experience, directly interacting with vendors and end users
- Previous credit experience and prior client relationship management experience
- Previous experience in Agriculture lending an Asset
- Proven negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Thorough knowledge of current marketplace trends and activities
- Risk-taking and problem-solving ability, with relationship-building skills
- Ability to persevere and see processes through to completion
- Proficient in MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer service
- Superior written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills
- Superior time management, planning, organization, and prioritization skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Solid team-player abilities
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with collaboration tools supporting virtual and in-person meetings
- Ability to work from home remotely/independently and in a virtual team environment
- Successful completion of a background check required
