Job Description
Business Development Manager driving national sales of Kinetics Noise Control’s engineered acoustics products. Developing market strategies, training representatives, and supporting technical product solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Drive revenue growth across targeted national markets through direct engagement with key decision makers and influencers
- Analyze territory performance and participate in short- and long-range market growth planning
- Engage with the acoustics community and KNC Engineering Group to develop product solutions for floor, ceiling, and wall isolation systems
- Serve as a technical expert on product solutions and application information
- Collaborate with the KNC Building Acoustics Design Team to evaluate submittal drawing packages
- Develop and execute plans encouraging Sales Representatives to sell Building Acoustics Market Group product solutions
- Work with the Director of Sales to develop market channel strategies and execute targeted marketing campaigns
- Coordinate with Marketing and Sales teams on promotional content, product media, and webinar subject matter
- Lead manufacturer’s representative product training and assist with trade shows, seminars, and similar events
- Train and support Sales Representatives on ceiling, floor, and wall noise control applications
- Conduct Voice of the Customer visits and surveys, both in-market and virtually
- Own sales growth for the assigned territory and customer base
- Analyze construction cycles and share information about large projects with local Kinetics representatives
- Investigate competitor activities and develop similar or improved tools, products, and infrastructure
- Collaborate with engineering to develop innovative products
- Develop supplier partnerships supporting product design and development
- Troubleshoot installation issues as needed
- Perform additional duties assigned by the supervisor
Requirements:
- Four-year college degree with 3–5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office products
- Familiarity with basic construction practices and the ability to interpret bid/contract documents
- Experience in sales, sales support, or specification development with Architectural & Engineering firms
- Ability to communicate verbally and/or in writing regarding work requirements, work in progress, and discrepancy issues
- Ability to interact with employees, management, customers, and others as necessary
- Tact, diplomacy, professionalism, and positive demeanor
- Ability to follow instructions and directions requiring normal to extended periods of concentration
- Ability to logically think through error issues and resolve or contact the appropriate source
- Ability to organize work, maintain attention to detail, and follow through
- Travel expected up to approximately 40% of total work time with overnight travel as needed
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Ability to operate a personal computer, copier, facsimile machine, printer, calculator, and telephone
- Ability to occasionally lift boxes up to 25 pounds
