Job Description
Business Development Representative generating SaaS pipeline for FoodChain ID’s food safety, quality, and supply-chain solutions. Qualifying inbound leads and executing targeted outbound prospecting.
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage inbound MQLs across the Enterprise and Industry Solutions divisions
- Follow up with and qualify inbound leads, progressing qualified interest into discovery calls
- Meet the discovery call quota, measured primarily by qualified discovery calls successfully held
- Conduct targeted outbound prospecting through cold calling, social media, personalized email, and creative engagement tactics
- Coordinate prospecting activity with Account Executives and ensure smooth handoff of qualified prospects
- Partner with Marketing to maximize conversion from campaigns and events
- Provide feedback to improve MQL quality and engagement
- Build and manage automated cadences and follow-up journeys to maximize speed-to-lead, engagement, and conversion
- Maintain accurate activity and lead data in Salesforce
- Report to the Growth Marketing Director
Requirements:
- Based in the United Kingdom
- 1+ years in a Business Development, Sales, or SDR role in a SaaS or technology sales environment
- Proven experience in cold prospecting and developing pipeline without relying solely on pre-qualified lists
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Apollo/Salesloft, ZoomInfo, or similar prospecting platforms
- Creative and analytical thinker comfortable working independently and optimizing performance based on metrics
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and spark curiosity in new prospects
- Knowledge of the food and beverage industry would be ideal but is not required
- Right to work in the UK without visa assistance
