Job Description
Business Development Representative building healthcare partnerships and student inquiries for West Coast University. Representing online healthcare programs across an assigned Houston-area territory.
Responsibilities:
- Represent West Coast University's brand within the healthcare, hospital, and nursing community
- Articulate university programs to potential students
- Attend conferences, career fairs, networking opportunities, and community outreach events
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with hospitals, healthcare organizations, and community colleges
- Promote WCU programs and services
- Serve as liaison between the university and healthcare and nursing industries
- Conduct needs analyses and provide solutions to corporate partners
- Identify key decision makers and build strong partnerships
- Generate inquiries from potential students
- Work with inside admissions, career services, and clinical relations teams to address prospective student needs
- Maintain compliance with university policies, applicable laws, and professional standards
- Maintain attendance, equipment, cleanliness, order, and workplace safety
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, or a related field required
- Valid driver's license
- Generally 2–3 years of relevant experience required
- Practical experience with the principles, theories, and concepts of the profession
- Confidence working independently to meet goals and performance requirements
- Knowledge of the healthcare community and nursing industry desired
- Ability to work independently and drive success
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to exercise good judgment
