Job Description
Business Development Specialist growing Philips’ ultrasound business with NHS clients across the UK. Building strategic accounts, proposals and market share through consultative healthcare sales.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation and delivery of strategic account plans for high-value NHS clients
- Use data and insight to align activities with business objectives and drive sustainable growth
- Cultivate relationships with senior stakeholders and implement complex sales and marketing initiatives
- Use market analysis to uncover new growth opportunities
- Develop influential relationships with senior contacts across Trusts, ICBs and Networks
- Balance immediate equipment requirements with long-term strategic account development
- Motivate and influence cross-functional teams in a matrix organisation without direct line management
- Monitor account KPIs and financial performance
- Provide regular insights and updates to senior management
- Maintain accurate sales data in the CRM in line with company policies
- Develop and deliver tailored sales presentations and proposals
- Nurture and develop new business and convert competitor accounts to increase market share
- Ensure adherence to Philips’ business processes, quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Travel to customer sites within the UK as needed
Requirements:
- Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, ideally in the medical devices sector
- Proven consultative solution-selling experience
- Ability to build and nurture relationships with customers and multiple stakeholders
- Ability to develop complex customer proposals addressing patient outcomes and clinical, operational and sustainability challenges
- Understanding of financial models and commercial financing options
- Demonstrated business development skills and commercial acumen
- Experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.com
- Proficiency in sales forecasting and pipeline management
- Experience conducting market research and competitive analysis
- Ability to analyse data and translate insights into strategic account plans and customer proposals
- Excellent presentation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and exercise sound judgment
- Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or equivalent
- Standard DBS (Disclosure and Baring Service) criminal record check required
