Job Description

Business Line Manager leading Sandvik’s North American mobile crushing and screening sales. Driving equipment, aftermarket, distributor and customer growth across the U.S. and Canada.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct and monitor the activities of a North American sales team to achieve sales targets
  • Develop and execute territory business plans aligned with Mobiles Division and Sales Area strategies
  • Deliver equipment and aftermarket sales, order intake, revenue, market share and profitability objectives
  • Identify market opportunities, growth segments, account priorities and routes to market
  • Build commercial proposals and winning strategies using value-based selling
  • Promote financing solutions that strengthen customer value propositions
  • Build long-term relationships with customers, dealers and distributors
  • Lead distributor performance dialogue covering business planning, pipeline, inventory, capability, coverage and corrective actions
  • Communicate the total Mobiles offering across equipment, aftermarket, service, training and digital solutions
  • Expand market presence through customer engagement, local events and trade shows
  • Own territory forecasts and deliver monthly and annual commercial commitments
  • Monitor account and opportunity performance and take corrective action
  • Maintain opportunity, pipeline and customer data in CRM and commercial tools
  • Apply financial judgment to pricing, deal structure, risk and profitability
  • Collaborate with Commercial Operations, Finance, Business Control, Legal, Supply, Sales Area teams, Mobiles Division, Product Management, Marketing, Aftermarket, Service and Training
  • Drive equipment sales, installed base expansion and aftermarket capture
  • Coordinate aftermarket, service and training teams to strengthen customer support and local capability
  • Promote territory inventory planning to improve availability, lead times and aftermarket performance
  • Share market intelligence, competitor insights and customer feedback
  • Lead continuous improvement and change initiatives
  • Set goals for direct and dotted-line contributors
  • Coach, develop and engage the team
  • Align resources and capabilities with business priorities and growth plans
  • Support Sandvik’s Environment, Health & Safety culture and report hazards and incidents

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field plus minimum 5 years experience in sales roles, or total experience of 10 years in sales in aftermarket products
  • 2 years in a leadership/managerial role
  • Demonstrated experience in key account management, sales, business development or commercial leadership in a B2B environment
  • Experience in the mining, aggregates, construction or adjacent capital-equipment industry
  • Proven ability to build productive relationships with dealers, distributors and end customers
  • Experience managing high-value accounts, complex opportunities and technical-commercial discussions
  • Strong financial and commercial understanding, including pricing, margin and deal profitability
  • Experience working effectively across functions and within a matrix organization
  • Previous experience as an Area Sales Manager, Business Development Manager or Key Account Manager having sold aftermarket products preferred
  • Proven sales experience developing customer relationships and achieving year-on-year sales/revenue growth preferred
  • Experience with sales forecasting, demand planning, sales reporting, opportunity tracking, follow-up and new enquiry ratios
  • Experience utilizing an ERP system
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Passport
  • Readiness for frequent travel, approximately 50%
  • Ability to work safely in customer, quarry, construction and mining environments
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States or Canada indefinitely without employer sponsorship
  • Temporary work authorizations, including OPT, do not meet this requirement
