Job Description
Business Services & Outsourcing Manager leading accounting and financial reporting services for complex UK businesses. Advising on FRS 102 and IFRS while growing Cooper Parry’s client offering.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the accounts and financial reporting service line for a portfolio of audited clients
- Deliver an efficient process from start to finish
- Build effective working relationships with clients and internal teams
- Manage working capital
- Complete technical reviews of FRS 102, FRS 101, and consolidated IFRS statutory accounts
- Support the BS&O team with technical queries, research complex areas, and find solutions
- Coach and develop team members
- Oversee Mid-Market added-value technical projects, including FRS 102 to IFRS conversion
- Contribute to the go-to-market strategy for Mid-Market businesses
- Grow the accounts and financial reporting offering and client base
- Help shape the future of the company and support innovation
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualified
- Experience in a senior role, delivering financial reporting advisory services, preparing statutory accounts, or providing audit support to complex organisations
- Strong project and time management skills
- Track record of overseeing a diverse client portfolio and meeting tight deadlines
- Demonstrated business development capability, with the ability to identify opportunities and convert them into successful engagements
- Well-versed in FRS 102 and IFRS reporting frameworks
- Knowledge of technical areas such as accounting for long term contracts, share-based payments, and group reconstructions
- Ability to build strong client relationships and deliver an outstanding client experience
- Excellent project management and communications skills
- Collaborative approach with clients and the wider BS&O team
- Hunger for continuous improvement and curiosity for finding the best way of doing things
