Job Description

Business Services & Outsourcing Manager leading accounting and financial reporting services for complex UK businesses. Advising on FRS 102 and IFRS while growing Cooper Parry’s client offering.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the accounts and financial reporting service line for a portfolio of audited clients
  • Deliver an efficient process from start to finish
  • Build effective working relationships with clients and internal teams
  • Manage working capital
  • Complete technical reviews of FRS 102, FRS 101, and consolidated IFRS statutory accounts
  • Support the BS&O team with technical queries, research complex areas, and find solutions
  • Coach and develop team members
  • Oversee Mid-Market added-value technical projects, including FRS 102 to IFRS conversion
  • Contribute to the go-to-market strategy for Mid-Market businesses
  • Grow the accounts and financial reporting offering and client base
  • Help shape the future of the company and support innovation

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualified
  • Experience in a senior role, delivering financial reporting advisory services, preparing statutory accounts, or providing audit support to complex organisations
  • Strong project and time management skills
  • Track record of overseeing a diverse client portfolio and meeting tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated business development capability, with the ability to identify opportunities and convert them into successful engagements
  • Well-versed in FRS 102 and IFRS reporting frameworks
  • Knowledge of technical areas such as accounting for long term contracts, share-based payments, and group reconstructions
  • Ability to build strong client relationships and deliver an outstanding client experience
  • Excellent project management and communications skills
  • Collaborative approach with clients and the wider BS&O team
  • Hunger for continuous improvement and curiosity for finding the best way of doing things
