Job Description

Chemicals market analyst delivering North American pricing intelligence for ResourceWise, a commodity pricing and market intelligence company. Analyzing glycols and methanol markets for reports and client insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather and validate pricing, supply-demand, and market intelligence data related to the North America glycols and methanol sectors
  • Translate complex datasets into clear, commercially relevant insights
  • Produce high-quality written analysis and commentary
  • Monitor key trends across chemicals, energy, and related feedstock markets
  • Contribute to the development of new products and analytical frameworks
  • Engage with industry participants to build market understanding and network
  • Contribute to regular daily, weekly, and monthly publications
  • Work closely with internal teams to shape and refine market narratives and industry perspectives
  • Potentially engage directly with clients, present insights, answer market-related questions, support commercial discussions and presentations, and own specific market segments or product areas over time

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years’ experience in market analysis, business intelligence, or commodity research
  • Background in chemicals, petrochemicals, energy, or adjacent markets (e.g. LNG, LPG, oil & gas)
  • Experience within a relevant organization such as a price reporting agency, research firm, or commodity intelligence provider is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret and synthesize market data
  • Excellent written communication skills with a focus on clarity and insight
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of how insights create value for clients
  • Ability to operate in a client-facing environment or willingness to develop this
  • Advanced Excel preferred but not essential
  • Exposure to data analysis tools (e.g. Python, Tableau, or similar) preferred but not essential
