Job Description
Civil CAD Technician creating Civil 3D designs for Salas O’Brien, an employee-owned engineering and consulting firm. Developing plan sheets, coordinating disciplines, and supporting drafting standards.
Responsibilities:
- Execute assigned civil modeling tasks
- Develop sheet views of plans, details and notes from the Civil 3D/CAD model
- Maintain awareness of the production schedule for responsible tasks
- Review completed tasks at key intervals for accuracy and completeness
- Assist with development of internal drafting and modeling standards
- Communicate with other disciplines and project team members to ensure overall project coordination
- Participate in team and company-wide meetings to discuss project issues, coordination with other disciplines and technical issues
- Foster collaborative professional working relationships with the project team
- Provide outstanding professional service to clients
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience with CAD/Civil 3D
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite preferred
- Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing
- Ability to problem-solve and collaborate on innovative solutions
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines at the expected level of quality
