Job Description
Client Finance Analyst supporting project accounting, invoicing, reconciliations, and financial reporting for Precision AQ, a pharmaceutical consultancy. Fully remote across the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with overall monthly project accounting, including taking notes from monthly status meetings and updating financial trackers
- Set up new projects in time and expense systems and files, verifying signatures, reconciling to Salesforce, and escalating discrepancies
- Update project files for change orders, budget adjustments, carve-outs, and project milestones/tasks
- Book intercompany revenue/cost transactions and update shared financial trackers
- Assist with preparing and investigating hours and expenses for client projects, including reviewing billing roles/rates
- Prepare client invoicing based on contracts and follow up on past-due invoices
- Create and maintain invoicing waterfalls per contracts when applicable
- Assist in preparing monthly client accruals
- Track project costs against contracted amounts and direct costs shared across projects/clients
- Set up and track new employees and, when applicable, subcontractor hours, bill rates, and expenses against forecast and budget
- Update routine monthly general ledger account reconciliations and collaborate with the SG&A team
- Assist with ad hoc projects, including annual budget preparation
- Assist in pulling supporting documents for the annual audit
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum concentration in accounting, finance or business
- 0-2 years of relevant accounting/finance experience
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Agency or Professional Services experience a plus
- Month end close experience
- Revenue Recognition experience
- Project Accounting experience
- Client Services/Client Facing experience
- Excellent client service and communication skills
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to process and analyze large volumes of qualitative and quantitative information
- Ability to multitask with great attention to detail and high accountability
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Ethics and integrity when dealing with confidential and sensitive information
- Self-starting attitude and desire to learn and grow rapidly
