Job Description
Clinical Account Manager guiding pharmacy solutions and customer accounts for Prime Therapeutics, a pharmacy benefits manager. Managing client strategy, contract performance, financial goals, and account teams.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain customer relationships across assigned accounts
- Lead account teams and develop and execute strategic account plans with sales and operations
- Deliver pharmaceutical care and cost solutions that demonstrate value to customers
- Own overall account satisfaction and resolve customer service issues
- Ensure contract compliance, Service Level Agreement performance, claims payment accuracy, and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements
- Develop, implement, and execute strategic business plans supporting long-term profitable customer retention
- Demonstrate pharmacy solutions and identify opportunities for additional services
- Provide clinical operations input and support client-specific claims processing programs and clinical projects
- Support Pharmacy and Therapeutics functions, DUR committees, elevated customer service, and prior authorization inquiries
- Manage account financials, revenue goals, cost of care, administrative expenses, and EBITDA targets
- Identify pharmacy product and service opportunities and drive up-sell through consultative methods
- Support sales and account management renewal activities
- Identify, retain, train, and develop high-performing account team members
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
- 2+ years of management leadership experience
- 5+ years of pharmacy experience
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without work visa or residency sponsorship
- 3–5 years of experience in clinical operations, quality, network, pharmacy, or project management, or a managed care pharmacy residency
- Ability to plan, organize, schedule, direct, control, and monitor project activities
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform basic financial analysis
- Project management experience and knowledge of health plans
- Provider experience preferred
- Master's degree preferred
- PharmD preferred
- State pharmacy licensure preferred
- Ability to comply with security responsibilities, controls, legal, regulatory, contractual, and internal policy requirements
