Job Description

Clinical Data Architect building FHIR-to-OMOP healthcare data systems for Verily Health’s precision-health platform. Harmonizing clinical data from EHRs, HIEs, and claims to support research and patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect FHIR-compliant data models aligned with implementation guides, profiles, and internal architectural standards
  • Design and operationalize data harmonization and enrichment strategies for EHR, HIE, and claims data
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable FHIR-to-OMOP transformation pipelines using dbt and SQL
  • Standardize healthcare data using SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10, and RxNorm
  • Design and manage custom clinical value sets
  • Establish validation frameworks and algorithms for clinical accuracy, consistency, and longitudinal data integrity
  • Develop documentation communicating data design requirements to cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Support patient care and research efforts through accurate and usable clinical data

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in healthcare data architecture or clinical informatics within the Healthcare or Life Sciences sectors
  • Experience with healthcare data models and interoperability standards, including OMOP, FHIR R4/R5, HL7 v2, CDA/CCD-A, or NCPDP
  • Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience in healthcare data integration
  • Master’s degree or professional certificate in Clinical Informatics, PharmD, or comparable hands-on clinical informatics experience
  • Hands-on experience with dbt and Jupyter Notebooks
  • Experience designing or implementing healthcare data architecture and integration solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Must not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States
