Job Description
Clinical Nursing Informatics Program Manager responsible for managing informatics staff and initiatives at SIH. Collaborating with nursing leadership to improve patient care and clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage ITS and informatics staff performance in informatics initiatives
- Represent the information and knowledge needs of healthcare professionals and patients
- Manage delivery of SIH clinical systems strategy in collaboration with leaders to promote excellence in patient care
- Maintain relationships with key external business partners and other senior industry leaders
- Acts as a change agent working with nursing and clinical leadership teams in the identification, development, planning, implementation, and value measurement of overall informatics strategies
- Develops an environment for ethical decision-making
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Clinical Informatics or other clinical discipline is required
- Active Registered Nurse license required
- Relevant job-related certifications with EPIC application certification or proficiency within 90 days of hire is required
- Project Management certification preferred
- Minimum 6 years clinical experience in primary clinical discipline with primary duties working with clinical information systems within a healthcare setting required
- Effective working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite of applications
- Familiarity with Network, personal computer, communications and database systems
- Familiarity with data privacy practices in healthcare
