Job Description

Medicare coverage analyst ensuring compliant billing for oncology and non-oncology clinical trials. Supporting Vitalief’s academic research clients with coverage analyses, OnCore builds, and audit readiness.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Medicare Coverage Analyses for oncology and non-oncology clinical trial protocols
  • Identify procedures and services billable to Medicare versus research-related services
  • Review protocols, schedules of events, and informed consent forms for CMS billing compliance
  • Develop, maintain, and validate OnCore calendar builds
  • Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Finance, Regulatory, and Study Teams on coverage decisions
  • Prepare coverage analysis documentation, summary tables, and billing justification reports
  • Advise study teams on Medicare coverage rules, billing risks, and recommendations
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Monitor CMS updates and industry best practices to optimize coverage analyses and study operations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Coding, Auditing, Finance, Accounting, Nursing, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of Medicare Coverage Analysis experience supporting clinical research studies for an Academic Medical Center or health/hospital system
  • Experience working on oncology clinical trial protocols
  • Strong understanding of CMS guidelines, Medicare billing compliance, and clinical trial operations
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple protocols and deadlines simultaneously
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to explain complex billing concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in a fully remote environment with distributed teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Hands-on OnCore calendar build experience preferred but not required; training provided
  • Must currently live in the USA
  • Must answer employment visa sponsorship question
