Job Description
Cloud Engineer managing Azure infrastructure, security, monitoring, backup, and automation. Supporting large-scale production environments for a Pakistan-based remote role.
Responsibilities:
- Provision, maintain, troubleshoot and improve cloud platforms
- Analyze system errors and define corrective measures
- Guarantee secure infrastructure, production stability and performance
- Execute approved changes
- Conduct disaster recovery rehearsals and testing
- Troubleshoot network and performance issues
- Manage network ACLs and routes
- Clean up snapshots and resize virtual machines
- Track and update end-of-life cloud services
- Work on Azure Backup and Site Recovery
- Perform health checks and decommission resources
- Fix vulnerabilities and manage non-OS cloud security posture
- Respond to alerts and incidents from monitoring tools
- Monitor Azure resources using Azure Monitor and Application Insights
- Review and update security configurations for best-practice compliance
- Monitor and respond to security incidents
- Write and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Azure CLI and ARM templates
Requirements:
- 5–8 years of working experience with Azure Microsoft Cloud
- Must have experience of Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Working experience in Cloud Infrastructure (network, security, compute, storage, databases and Kubernetes) in Azure
- Understanding of Terraform and Azure DevOps
- Good understanding of OS (Linux, Windows) infrastructure
- Experience in Azure Administration
- Knowledge of PowerShell and Azure APIs
- Understanding of Azure management and control plane components, including networking, access management, RBAC and security policies
- Experience with Cloud IaaS and PaaS
- Skills in architecture, implementation and support
- Experience with cloud monitoring and backup
- Exposure to large-scale production environments
- Certified in Azure, Network, Kubernetes and Operating Systems
