Job Description

Commercial Operations Manager overseeing field workflows, timelines, and process improvements for Jackson Hewitt’s national tax-preparation services. Remote US role coordinating corporate and field partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee field operations
  • Coordinate and supervise operational workflows for operations projects and processes
  • Create and manage project timelines
  • Coordinate information and maintain status reporting
  • Monitor field operations processes and identify productivity improvements
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to create or revise processes, improve workflows, and minimize friction
  • Understand Marketing, Financial Products, Creative, Finance, and Technology operational processes
  • Drive completion of assigned projects and escalate risks for resolution
  • Manage and prioritize multiple work streams
  • Communicate projects, initiatives, and processes effectively
  • Identify opportunities to adapt to market changes
  • Assess and analyze data to support improvement initiatives
  • Liaise between field and corporate partners, including technology and marketing
  • Evaluate and assign technology security levels based on access needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management or equivalent related work experience
  • 3+ years of operations, process, or project management experience
  • Experience evaluating, designing, and implementing processes is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience using Excel to analyze data, create pivot tables, use VLOOKUP, and write formulas
  • Excellent organizational, prioritizing, and time management skills
  • Ability to examine processes, identify friction, and design creative resolutions
  • Ability to build consensus and relationships among various departments
  • Ability to learn quickly and retain information
  • Analytical ability to comprehend how multiple systems interact
  • Technically savvy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Able and willing to travel up to 50% during the season
