Job Description

Commercial Performance Analytics and Enablement Analyst supporting business intelligence solutions for a wine and spirits distributor. Partnering with leadership to enhance market strategies with data-driven insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a business partner to leadership in Commercial Sales, Commercial Strategy, Commercial Operations and ETP in providing data resources for increasing effectiveness of market strategies
  • Support Commercial Performance Analytics and Enablement team and leadership by aiding with reporting, tracking, and insights
  • Provide reporting and tracking, program measure and evaluation, supplier analysis, stakeholder review, retail analytics, business insights, and ad hoc reporting
  • Support the design, development, and implementation of business intelligence solutions through data analytics
  • Translate documented project requirements into functional and non-functional specifications for Business Intelligence reports and applications
  • Responsible for the proper execution of corporate and supplier program execution
  • Manage SGWS resources to design multi-dimensional models, including the construction of Data Views and Reports
  • Provide and advise leadership on data-driven solutions addressing business opportunities
  • Create and update project plans to report the progress to all stakeholders
  • Ensure that the use of business intelligence applications enhances business decision-making capabilities
  • Work with and direct the IT project teams on efficient project resolution
  • Create ad-hoc queries & reports as requested and provide on-going analytical support for these requests

  • Identify data quality issues and support the data governance initiative by participating in necessary activities including data profiling
  • Determine testing needed to assure the functionality and integrity of reporting solutions, conduct testing, and evaluate testing results recommending and/or taking corrective action as necessary
  • Establish, implement, and monitor reporting and documentation standards to ensure uniformity throughout the organization
  • Evaluate and direct the implementation of security models that ensure compliance
  • Conduct high-level analytical support for requested reporting

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and two years of experience or equivalent education and related experience
  • 0-2 years of experience preferred in a corporate business/financial analyst role
  • Ability to clearly synthesize and analyze data from a variety of internal and external data sources
  • Working knowledge of Business Objects and advanced MS Excel/PowerBi
  • Working knowledge of other MS Office Suite and/or software applications related to job functions
