Job Description

Construction project manager delivering modular building projects from contract to completion. Managing schedules, budgets, teams, safety, subcontractors, and customer-focused project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Support construction projects from Contract to Completion
  • Manage project resources, schedules, financials, quality, and safety throughout the project life cycle
  • Use BuilderTrend to track project progress, manage documentation, and facilitate communication across teams and stakeholders
  • Manage issues, risks, and project change requests to support successful, on-time delivery
  • Verify required deliverables meet quality, time, and cost constraints while maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Establish and enforce safety requirements in compliance with industry and company standards
  • Manage and supervise direct reports
  • Lead or assist with Scopes of Work, Delineation of Responsibilities, and proposals for larger projects
  • Lead scheduling, budget, and document management from Contract to Completion
  • Build and motivate project teams to meet goals, responsibilities, and milestones
  • Track and report project results and metrics
  • Hire, manage, and mentor project support positions, including project managers, superintendents, and administration
  • Procure subcontractors and suppliers to achieve project objectives within planned timeframes and budgets
  • Understand day-to-day project activities and resources and chair project team meetings
  • Provide regional leadership with status reports on milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues using BuilderTrend
  • Apply functional and financial acumen to align solutions with client goals, industry best practices, and company risk thresholds
  • Ensure contract compliance and manage changes
  • Mitigate impacts to baseline budgets by managing project issues and risks
  • Lead safety tailgate meetings at the start of each project phase or shift
  • Ensure job site activities comply with OSHA and company safety standards
  • Travel regionally to job sites, approximately 50%
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 5–8 years of construction-related experience
  • Excellent leadership, written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and decisive, with ability to adapt to change and competing demands
  • Technical competence with MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project management software
  • Team-building skills with technical and non-technical staff
  • Experience working independently and in collaborative, team-oriented environments
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of safety field concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Well organized with excellent customer service skills
  • Skilled in negotiation with customers and vendors/subcontractors
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects
  • Experience directing the work of others to ensure project completion and success
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis
  • Must pass pre-employment drug testing, including marijuana, for this safety-sensitive position
  • Modular building industry experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management preferred
  • Knowledge of Division of State Architect (DSA) preferred
  • Knowledge of International Building Code (IBC) preferred
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • Knowledge of approval agencies and state requirements preferred
  • Experience with Bluebeam and CAD software preferred
  • Ability to perform sustained physical activity and maintain manual dexterity
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and balance as required
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders, use construction personnel hoists, and navigate uneven or unfinished work areas
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
  • Close, distance, and peripheral vision; depth perception; and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to hear alarms, bells, whistles, and verbal instructions in active construction environments
  • Ability to work indoors or outdoors, at elevated heights, and in varying weather, noise, odor, dust, or fume conditions
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, or emergency on-call support as operationally required
