Job Description
Contract Golang Software Engineer building scalable backend products for YLD’s clients. Designing resilient architectures and cloud-native services in a remote-first consultancy.
Responsibilities:
- Join a client team building innovative products
- Design scalable, resilient, and fault-tolerant architectures
- Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and SaaS platforms
- Work with cloud environments and modern infrastructure
- Apply deployment practices using Docker, containers, and Kubernetes
- Implement testing strategies, including TDD, across the system lifecycle
- Optimize system performance
- Use AI tools to augment engineering work where they add value
- Collaborate in a fast-paced engineering environment to deliver client projects
- Participate in talent, technical, and client-partner recruitment interviews
Requirements:
- Remote EU-based availability, aligned with GMT timezone
- Strong backend engineering experience, with Go as a primary or preferred language
- Comfort working in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience building and maintaining APIs and backend services, including SaaS platforms
- Familiarity with modern infrastructure and distributed systems
- Understanding of modern deployment practices, including Docker, containers, and Kubernetes
- Strong background in testing strategies, including TDD, across the full system lifecycle
- Focus on performance optimization
- Ability to use AI tools with sound judgment when adopting emerging technologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including explaining technical concepts in business-friendly language
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience working in team-oriented, collaborative environments
