Job Description
Contractor Payments Manager overseeing contractor payroll settlements at Openforce. Leading payments operations, client relationships, process improvement, reporting, and collections.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Contractor Payments Team that processes contractor payroll (settlements)
- Direct payroll procedures to ensure timely and accurate completion and fund disbursement
- Maintain strong client relationships and serve as an escalation point for client payroll matters
- Manage day-to-day team operations and monitor client payroll submissions
- Train, lead, mentor, and coach team members
- Conduct one-on-ones, set performance measures, and conduct performance reviews
- Perform quality assurance reviews of processed payroll and configured deductions
- Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to reduce errors
- Optimize payroll processes and lead initiatives to improve efficiency
- Support transitions between implementation and the payroll team
- Maintain knowledge base content and encourage user adoption
- Collaborate with Client Services, Strategic Account Management, Accounting, Product, Engineering, clients, and executives
- Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports
- Oversee accounts receivable invoicing and lead collection efforts on outstanding balances
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or comparable job experience
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Knowledge of payroll and accounting processes, including wage and hour principles
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
- 2+ years of software account management experience
- 3+ years of front-line management experience
- Communication (written and verbal) skills
