Job Description
Transactional attorney for nonprofit organizations at NYC-based boutique law firm. Focused on governance, contracts, and organizational decision-making for tax-exempt organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Join the Firm’s growing practice as an experienced transactional attorney
- Client-facing corporate role within a focused tax-exempt organizations practice
- Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing contracts
- Advising on nonprofit governance, board matters, and organizational policies
- Handling all aspects of corporate formation and restructuring
- Conducting legal research on New York Non-Profit Corporation Law and employment law
Requirements:
- J.D. with strong academic credentials and admission to practice in New York
- 5+ years of direct nonprofit corporate transactional experience
- Experience handling nonprofit governance, contracts, and corporate matters as a core part of their practice
- Ability to step into client matters with minimal ramp-up and limited training
- A genuine commitment to mission-driven work and building a long-term role with the Firm.
