Job Description

Transactional attorney for nonprofit organizations at NYC-based boutique law firm. Focused on governance, contracts, and organizational decision-making for tax-exempt organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Join the Firm’s growing practice as an experienced transactional attorney
  • Client-facing corporate role within a focused tax-exempt organizations practice
  • Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing contracts
  • Advising on nonprofit governance, board matters, and organizational policies
  • Handling all aspects of corporate formation and restructuring
  • Conducting legal research on New York Non-Profit Corporation Law and employment law

Requirements:

  • J.D. with strong academic credentials and admission to practice in New York
  • 5+ years of direct nonprofit corporate transactional experience
  • Experience handling nonprofit governance, contracts, and corporate matters as a core part of their practice
  • Ability to step into client matters with minimal ramp-up and limited training
  • A genuine commitment to mission-driven work and building a long-term role with the Firm.
