Job Description
French-qualified corporate and M&A lawyer evaluating AI-generated answers for 24-MAG’s legal evaluation projects. Reviewing French-law accuracy, reasoning, and transactional analysis against structured rubrics.
Responsibilities:
- Review AI-generated responses to questions involving French corporate and commercial law
- Evaluate legal reasoning across M&A, transactional, governance, and related corporate matters
- Identify substantive legal errors, omissions, unsupported conclusions, and misleading reasoning
- Assess whether responses reflect professional French legal practice
- Compare identical legal prompts across two AI platforms
- Evaluate responses for accuracy, completeness, reasoning quality, and practical usefulness
- Score responses against a standardised evaluation rubric
- Provide concise written rationale explaining legal strengths, weaknesses, and inaccuracies
- Identify missing issues or analytical steps affecting answers
- Apply corporate, M&A, transactional, governance, commercial agreement, and deal-execution expertise
- Work independently against structured rubrics and deadlines
Requirements:
- Qualified to practise law in France
- At least 2 years of law-firm experience; 3+ years preferred
- Substantive professional experience in corporate law, M&A, or transactional practice
- Primary professional background within an established law firm
- In-house candidates may be considered if they moved from law-firm practice within approximately the last two years
- Strong command of French corporate and commercial law
- Native or fluent proficiency in French
- Strong written communication and ability to explain legal reasoning precisely
- Strong attention to legal accuracy, analytical consistency, and detail
- Ability to work independently against structured rubrics and deadlines
- Experience reviewing sophisticated legal research or written legal analysis highly valued
- Ability to comply with confidentiality and NDA requirements
- Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary third-party information
