Job Description
Correspondent Credit Analyst Intern supporting ARC lending and commercial loan teams at SouthState Bank. Preparing client proposals, sales materials, and Rate Conversion Agreements.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Correspondent Division ARC team, Commercial Loan Portfolio Management Staff, and Commercial Loan Officers
- Provide support to Credit Analysts and Sales Officers
- Support the sales team by preparing client proposals
- Perform sales support for the ARC program
- Ensure work is timely, accurate, and completed within department guidelines
- Help prepare Rate Conversion Agreements for ARC deals moving to closing
- Attend meetings, conferences, and training as needed
Requirements:
- Must be enrolled in and obtaining a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting
- Preference given to rising seniors and juniors
- One to three years of related experience and/or training
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, and business recommended
- Understanding of financial statements and ability to make industry evaluations
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to quickly assimilate complex data
- Ability to remain focused and task oriented
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Self-starter requiring minimal supervision
- Ability to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, and reports
- Must have a secure home office environment free from background noise and distractions
- Must have a reliable private internet connection not supplied by cellular data/hot spot; cable or fiber preferred
