Job Description
Country Manager for Fasset, overseeing operations and market strategy in Uganda. Leading user acquisition, partnership development, and regulatory relations to establish a stablecoin neobank in the region.
Responsibilities:
- Own Fasset’s P&L, growth targets, and market strategy for Uganda.
- Build and manage relationships with local partners, merchants, and financial institutions.
- Lead in-market user acquisition, activation, and retention initiatives.
- Represent Fasset with regulators, government bodies, and industry associations in Uganda.
- Recruit, manage, and develop a local team, including community ambassadors and business development staff.
- Provide market intelligence, competitive analysis, and localisation recommendations to HQ.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a country management or market leadership role, ideally within fintech, payments, or financial services.
- Deep network and understanding of Uganda’s financial, technology, or startup ecosystem.
- Proven track record of driving growth and managing cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Luganda or other local languages is strongly preferred.
