Job Description
Credentialing Specialist securing physician credentials, hospital EMR access, and payer verification for Oak Street Health’s community-based Medicare care centers. Tracking onboarding and compliance across Oak Street markets.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with physicians and the Associate of Managed Care Operations to obtain credentials and/or EMR access with hospitals in all Oak Street Health markets
- Support verification processes with government agencies and insurance payers
- Provide formal, detailed documentation of physicians’ professional histories
- Thoroughly track credentialing processes from start to finish
- Maintain online and paper databases of highly sensitive physician information and paperwork
- Assist with physician onboarding
- Ensure physicians maintain necessary credentials, including licensure and CMS enrollment
- Provide regular credentialing progress updates to Oak Street Health teams
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or two years’ work experience
- Computer proficiency
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Sense of urgency
- Flexible and positive attitude
- Professional communication skills
- High level of integrity
- U.S. work authorization
- Ability to embody Oak Street values
- Ability to maintain necessary physician credentials, including licensure and enrollment with CMS
