Job Description
CTO co-founder building scalable physical AI and robotics automation hardware. Leading technical strategy, prototyping, and engineering culture for a new Polish startup.
Responsibilities:
- Co-manage the company with the commercial co-founder and align technical strategy with business goals
- Architect, assemble, wire, and commission physical robotics solutions
- Integrate Physical AI intelligence with custom and off-the-shelf robotics hardware
- Build, power up, debug, and program system prototypes from scratch
- Ensure communication between sensors, actuators, and controllers
- Conduct real-world validation, field testing, and commissioning in client environments
- Use Physical AI models to drive process automation and improve operational efficiency
- Use 3D simulation frameworks and Digital Twin technologies for offline testing, path planning, and hardware-in-the-loop validation
- Define the technology stack, software/hardware architecture, and scalability roadmap
- Monitor robotics, AI, and automation trends
- Recruit, lead, and mentor robotics engineering specialists
- Translate customer feedback and market needs into technical requirements
- Establish code-quality, rapid-iteration, hardware-software co-development, robotics CI/CD, simulation-to-real testing, safety, and data-compliance practices
Requirements:
- At least 3+ years of leadership experience in robotics companies or deep-tech startups
- 3+ years of practical, hands-on experience blending electrician, assembler, mechanical/hardware designer, and field robotics engineer skills
- Strong mechanical and electrical manual skills
- Deep experience in robotics engineering, including mechatronics, kinematics, sensor integration, embedded systems, low-level control systems, and communication protocols
- Experience with modern simulation tools and Digital Twin architecture for sim-to-real model deployment and virtual commissioning
- Strong track record building scalable physical automation solutions and deep-tech architectures from scratch
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Fluent Polish and English, spoken and written
- Solid grasp of industrial electrical basics, wiring schematics, cabinet assembly, safety circuits, and industrial automation/PLC programming
- Understanding of Physical AI / Embodied AI hardware requirements
- Familiarity with data collection, model training, fine-tuning, and edge deployment for robotics applications
- Legal permission to work in the EU
