Job Description
Data Engineer building Databricks applications and Power BI dashboards for Qualysoft, an international IT consulting and services company. Automating enterprise data integrations for energy and other industry clients.
Responsibilities:
- Design, set up, and pilot a Databricks application for managing and reserving capacities in substations
- Develop new pages and functionalities within Power BI dashboards
- Integrate and connect new data sources to existing Power BI reports
- Further develop, stabilize, and deploy a Databricks application based on an existing MVP
- Automate interfaces and data integrations, including data transfers to EAM/SAP systems and automated data correction and data quality processes
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to align on requirements, implementation activities, and intermediate results
- Work on diverse projects for international customers in financial services, telecommunications, automotive, and energy sectors
Requirements:
- Several years of relevant professional experience, including hands-on experience in Databricks projects
- Strong programming experience in a corporate or enterprise environment
- Solid experience working with databases and data-driven applications
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Databricks, SQL, Power BI, Python, and Git
- Basic knowledge of electrical engineering and understanding of the structure and operation of substations is an advantage
- Previous experience with the client or familiarity with the client's environment is a plus
- Excellent German language skills, both written and spoken
