Job Description
Data Transport Manager managing data transport services across hybrid and multi-cloud environment. Working with technical teams to ensure mission support and system compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of engineers to fulfill the software data transport requirements in support of data exchanges across the tenant application in a large-scale cloud hosting environment.
- Design, develop, test, troubleshoot and debug the software data transport system.
- Analyze software requirements and ensure that the software data transport system is fulfilling the mission.
- Evaluate tools and products to improve the software data transport system.
- Maintain the infrastructure and platforms necessary for the software data transport system.
- Maintain, develop, and operate interfaces for tenant applications within the highly available Data Transport service for DISA STRAT US environments.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and optimize the data flow through the Data Transport Services.
- Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity frameworks including DISA STIGs, NIST 800-53, and RMF.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud engineering, and application teams to support secure mission delivery.
- Maintain detailed documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Promote continuous improvement through feedback loops and process refinement.
- Ensure alignment with mission priorities and Leidos delivery standards.
- Design message flows for any new required services using the EAI/ESB.
- Develop and deploy integration services, routes, and orchestration logic.
- Support deployments, patches, and platform upgrades.
- Enforce integration standards and naming conventions.
- Support audit and compliance requirements through logging and traceability.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Present architectural designs and recommendations to executive leadership.
- Mentor, guide and supervise teams for data transport-related activities.
- Lead reviews and provide guidance on complex technical decisions.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation to support development and operational processes.
- Collaborate with team members and provide mentorship to junior staff, fostering a learning environment.
- Act as the Data Transport manager to assess employee performance, hire new employees, and ensure compliance with corporate training requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelors and 12 + years of experience; Masters and 10 + years of experience.
- Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
- Interim Secret clearance required to start; Ability to obtain Secret clearance required to maintain employment.
- US citizenship required.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (IAT-2).
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Strong documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience working with technical teams in cloud, cybersecurity, or enterprise IT environments.
- Familiarity with tools such as Harbor, Jenkins, Rancher to support data transport implementations.
