Job Description
Delivery Manager optimizing end-to-end software releases for Five9’s cloud contact center platform. Coordinating engineering, QA, operations, support, and stakeholder teams.
Responsibilities:
- Define and implement release schedules
- Manage the release pipeline and coordinate development, QA, operations, and support teams
- Oversee the full release lifecycle from planning and development through deployment and post-release support
- Prioritize release content with product management, engineering, and stakeholders based on business objectives and customer impact
- Align releases with broader strategic business goals
- Identify release-process risks and bottlenecks and develop mitigation strategies
- Serve as the main point of contact for release-process stakeholders, including senior leadership, product owners, engineering, operations, and customer support
- Communicate release progress, blockers, risks, and upcoming-change impacts
- Analyze release effectiveness and drive process improvement, automation, and risk reduction
- Drive adoption of release-management best practices
- Establish and track KPIs and metrics for release cycles
- Ensure production changes are documented, tracked, and managed
- Oversee version control and configuration management
- Manage and optimize tools such as Jira, GitLab, and LaunchDarkly
- Identify release-process automation opportunities
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
- Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams in complex and fast-paced environments
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively across multiple teams and departments
- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), particularly continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and release management
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with experience managing multiple releases simultaneously
- Expertise in Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and mitigate risks proactively
- Ability to resolve issues under pressure with very little guidance
- Excellent communication skills for articulating complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage expectations, negotiate timelines, and align parties on release goals and outcomes
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in relevant discipline with 7+ years related work experience
