Job Description

Detection Engineer improving Sekoia SIEM/SOAR setups for S-PRO’s software consulting clients. Analyzing detections, enriching data, and implementing security integrations.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and critically evaluate the existing Sekoia/SIEM setup
  • Analyze connected data sources and identify and resolve relevant gaps
  • Analyze existing detection rules, use cases, and cases
  • Establish a baseline for case volume, processing effort, and false positive rate at project start
  • Identify causes of high manual analysis effort
  • Improve detection logic, prioritization, and case quality
  • Design and implement additional data enrichment
  • Identify and implement meaningful integrations
  • Develop or further develop detection capabilities

Requirements:

  • Substantial hands-on experience with SIEM and detection engineering
  • Experience with SOC processes and incident triage
  • Experience with SOAR and security automation
  • Strong knowledge of security data sources and integrations, particularly identity, AWS cloud, and SaaS
  • Detection engineering based on MITRE ATT&CK
  • Experience with versioned, traceable maintenance of detections
  • Experience with Sekoia
  • Detection-as-Code is a plus
  • Hands-on mindset and ability to work independently
  • Ability to critically analyze existing setups and implement pragmatic improvements
  • Willingness and ability to actively share knowledge
  • Fluent in German
