Job Description

Operational Engineer II leading test network management for advanced telecom solutions. Ensuring operational excellence and managing virtual environments and CI/CD pipelines in cloud platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily Operations in CSG's VMware Virtualization environment
  • Lead private cloud modernization projects to transform traditional infrastructure into automated, resilient, and cloud-native platforms
  • Architect, design, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting enterprise-scale applications
  • Drive adoption of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for provisioning and configuration management
  • Implement containerization and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) to modernize workloads
  • Enhance monitoring, observability, and incident response frameworks (Zabbix, SCOM, Graylog, ELK stacks)
  • Optimize private cloud platforms (VMware, AWS, Azure) for scalability and performance
  • Ensure security, compliance, and governance in cloud operations
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to align modernization strategy with enterprise goals
  • Mentor and coach DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of automation and continuous improvement
  • Contribute to Agile/DevOps adoption across teams and influence best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
  • 3–5 years of DevOps / SRE / Cloud Engineering experience with good knowledge in VMware Virtualization administration
  • Good knowledge in VMware Virtualization Operations
  • Deep expertise in private and public cloud platforms (VMware vSphere, AWS EC2)
  • Proven experience in CI/CD design and automation (Jenkins, Azure Devops, Puppet, Chef)
  • Proficiency in scripting/programming (Bash, Ruby, Python, Perl, JavaScript, and PowerShell)
  • Expertise with containers and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift)
  • Strong knowledge of networking, storage, and security in private/hybrid cloud environments
  • Demonstrated experience in modernizing legacy systems into cloud-native or containerized platforms
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices.
