Job Description

Digital Onboarding Product Owner shaping onboarding methodology and Unqork strategy at Ascensus, a retirement savings technology platform. Driving Agile delivery, customer-focused product development, backlog prioritization, and adoption across retirement plan services.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain the onboarding methodology and service delivery model
  • Establish the vision, goals, and strategy for the Unqork domain
  • Define service delivery features and prioritize the development and maintenance backlog
  • Drive service delivery development with technology to maximize business value
  • Solve complex issues across business groups and identify solutions with measurable organizational impact
  • Define product value propositions, desired outcomes, and success metrics/KPIs
  • Drive innovative solutions throughout the product lifecycle
  • Communicate vision and goals at the beginning of each work increment
  • Represent the customer voice and engage stakeholders and end users
  • Collaborate with the scrum team on feature definition, user stories, acceptance criteria, and Behavior Driven Design
  • Maintain and reprioritize the product backlog
  • Participate in UX design sessions, discussions, and usability testing
  • Plan and execute release-on-demand implementations with the scrum team
  • Review and approve completed user stories and inspect sprint progress
  • Serve as the primary contact for product and team updates and feedback
  • Partner with Organizational Readiness on implementation, rollout, adoption, and user support
  • Promote new capabilities to drive engagement and adoption
  • Protect, secure, and properly handle confidential Ascensus and client data
  • Provide leadership and influence to the Transition Services team without direct reports

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business, Technology, or a related field
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong knowledge of Agile and SDLC methodologies
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Retirement and Financial Services
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Product Owner or in a related technology-based role
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and executing Agile practices
  • Strong technical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality work meeting standards, regulatory, and audit requirements
  • Strong communication and writing skills, with ability to interact with and influence all organizational levels
  • Experience with facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, negotiation, decision-making, and change management
  • Curious and detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills
